Point Breeze Deep Energy Retrofit

We could write a book on this one. We started with a 1920’s Point Breeze townhouse that was not quite ready to fall over, but close.

We worked closely with architects and engineers to come up with a plan to not only save the structure, but to turn it into an efficient, comfortable, and funtional rental. We poured a new foundation, restored the original facade, rebuilt the entire rear addition, replaced wiring, plumbing, HVAC, added a bi-level roof deck, as well as a mansard roof with standing seam cladding.

What sets this build apart is the attention to building performance. We installed triple-pane Pella windows, exterior insulation at the rear and south side, Rockwool insulation for noise and thermal, an intelligent air barrier, 4-zone heat pump mini-split, hot water recovery system, and a heat recovery ventilation system.
